ENTERPRISE DEVELOPMENT PROJECT
In 2016 SAPPO approved  nancial assistance for four farms. A total of R6 000 000 was allocated for purchase of equipment, loose tools and produc- tion inputs required to maximise production of the farms.
Selected farms (Table 1):
An additional R2 880 000 has been allocated for the 2017  nancial year. The funds will not be al- located equally to each project, but as per project need. A total of R3 880 800 is available to be spent in the 2017  nancial year. No external funding has been secured for the commercialisation of the list- ed farms.

appointed as an accountant to assess the  nancial situation of the four farms and develop proposals on the possible restructuring and recapitalisation.
TRAINING
Despite a challenging year experienced by the academy, it managed to train a total of 116 learn- ers for the period indicated in table 2.
• The directors renamed the academy the Baynes-  eld Training Academy (BTA) on 23 June 2017.
• Due to high administrative costs and complica-
tions in o ering accredited courses, the acade-
my discontinued Agriseta courses.
• The academy has been registered as the accredited
AI facility by DAFF (Department of Agriculture, For- estry and Fisheries) and received the certi cate.
